CARLOS REGAZZONI : L’ARTISTE ARGENTIN

This week, I suggest that we take a look at the work and the ongoing battle of the Argentinian Don Quixote, Carlos Regazzoni.

It has already been more than 10 years since the sculptor has been occupying huge premises belonging to the French railway company SNCF. (This of course was made possible with the agreement of tenancy and lease from the SNCF then from the French railway network.)

However last December, the repurchase of the Pajol hall, “empty of all contents” by the city of Paris created chaos.

Even though the association “El Gato Viejo” along with the Argentinian artist has proposed a development project favourable to the area, the current town planning does not take into account the large amount of work done by this artist as well as the architectural qualities inspired by the Eiffel school.
